Perform a New Spirometry

Use the following steps to perform a new Spirometry test using the Midmark Interface.

1. Click Chart > Instrumentation > Midmark.
   
   NOTE: If a patient's chart is opened you have the ability to access the Midmark Inteface for that specific patient only by clicking Note > Instrumentation > Midmark. The Midmark dialog will then open and the patient will default into the Select Patient field. If the Midmark interface is accessed this way you can skip to step 4.
    

2. In the Selected Patient field of the Midmark dialog, click the Open button to select a patient.
    

3. In the Open Patient dialog, select the Patient you want to run a Spirometry test for, and then click the Open button.
    

4. In the Midmark dialog, click the Acquisition tab.
    

5. In the Spirometer section of the Midmark dialog, click the Pre-Bronchodilator or Post Bronchodilator radio button as needed.
    

6. Click the Spirometer (New) button. This will open the Midmark Software for performing the Spirometry test.
    

7. Perform the new Spirometry test using the Midmark Software.
    

8. Once the test is complete close out of the Midmark software. A file will be created of the test that can be accessed via the Midmark Interface for further use and analysis.
