Formulary Checking Preference for Prescriptions

The Formulary Checking preference allows you to turn the formulary checking functionality on and off for prescriptions. This will preference will default to on, if no preference is configured. Use the following steps to configure the Formulary Checking preference.

 

 

  1. Click Edit > Preferences.
     

  2. Click the Advanced tab.
     

  3. In the Category field, enter FORMULARY.
     

  4. In the Option field, enter ENABLED.
     

  5. In the Value field, enter 0 (for off) or 1 (for on).
     

  6. Check the Default box if you want to set this preference for the entire practice. If this is left unchecked the default setting will be set for the current user only.
     

  7. Click the Set button.
     

  8. When finished, click the OK button.
