Approve/Revoke a Prescriber for EPCS

To be able to approve or revoke a prescriber for EPCS you must have the ability to perform Two Factor Authentication (2FA) using the IdenTrust token device. Use the following steps to approve or revoke a prescriber for EPCS.

 

  1. You will be alerted of an EPCS Approval Request via a high-priority To-Do List message. Double-click this message.



     

  2. In the EPCS Prescriber Request Approval dialog the message will outline the nature of the approval and who it is for. To approve the request, you must have your IdenTrust token plugged into your computer. Once the token is plugged in, click the Approve button to approve the request.



     

  3. The system will then validate the security certificate with the IdenTrust token inserted into the USB port of your computer. If the certificate and token match, you will be prompted to enter your token password. Once the password has been entered, click the OK button. The request will then be approved and the prescriber will be approved/revoked for EPCS in the system.
