You have the ability to undo a prescribed medication if the medication was prescribed in error in the current note, and you have the proper prescribing privileges, and that prescription was not printed, faxed, or sent electronically. When these conditions are not met the Undo Medication option will be disabled. Use the following steps to undo a prescribed medication.
In the current chart note for the patient, click
the Medication button, then select
Undo Medication, and then select
the Medication you want to undo
for the patient.
In the Undo Prescription dialog, click the Yes button to remove that medication.
Once the Yes button has been clicked, the medication will be removed from
the patient's note and face sheet, and an event entry will be tracked
in the Audit Trail.
