View Drug Interactions for a Medication

Once a medication has been prescribed for a patient, you have the ability to view any drug to drug or drug to allergy interactions for the patient for that medication via the Medication Interactions (RxINT) option in the Medication menu on that patients facesheet. Use the following steps to view drug interactions for a medication.

1. Open the patient's chart.
    

2. In the Medication List or Pre-Existing Meds list of the patient's Face Sheet, click the button to the left of the medication you wish to view drug interaction information for, and then click Medication Interactions (RxINT). A dialog will then appear allowing you to view
   
   
   
   
   An Interactions Present dialog will then appear if any drugs in the Medication List or Pre-Existing Meds have a drug to drug or drug to allergy interaction allowing you to view the interaction information. Or, if there are a interactions, a dialog will appear telling you that no interactions are present. When finished viewing the interaction information, click the OK button.
