Updating Preventive Service/Wellness Guidelines

ChartMaker® Clinical is a template driven program allowing specific users to add or modify templates within the program.  Preventive Service and Wellness Guidelines are found in many different locations. We have used two websites for the Wellness and preventive service guidelines.

For Wellness guidelines we have used www.cdc.gov/HealthyLiving.

For Preventive Service guidelines we have used www.guidelines.gov.

Guidelines can be downloaded, scanned and placed into an empty template within the template editor, then used as a template for patient notes, guidelines and instructions. They may also be typed or dictated into the template editor in text form then used as either as part of a patient note or as a separate patient note or handout.

The user may update the Preventive Service/Wellness Guidelines by opening a web browser, proceeding to one of the suggested links or a link of their own, downloading and scanning in the Preventive Service/Wellness Guidelines, or typing in their own guidelines.

Once the clinician has put in the guidelines he may enter the last reviewed date and send a message to all users within the system to indicate that the guidelines were updated.
