ChartMaker® Medical Suite has the ability to export PHI for the purpose of placing on any external media format using FIPS 140-2 compliant AES-128 bit strength encryption algorithm to encrypt patient health information.
In addition the backup solution used by STI, BackupAssist, uses 256-bit AES encryption and can be password protected. Below is a screenshot demonstrating the options the STI technician would select to encrypt the backup data. The technician will select Zip Options under the Job Settings and select Encrypt the backup and enter a password if the client so chooses. The technician would then click Apply Changes.
