Create a New Letter

New Letter allows correspondence to be entered into the patient's chart. Letters are templates themselves and can be made in the template editor. In typing a letter, you may want to refer back to a chart note.

 

You can copy information from a chart note and paste it directly into a letter using either the copy and paste function,  or the copy note feature.

 

Use the following steps to create a new letter.

 

 

  1. Open a patient chart.
     

  2. Click the Note tab.
     

  3. In the Note menu, click New Letter, and click the Letter you want to use.
     

  4. In the Select Provider dialog, select the Provider as needed, and then click the OK button.
     

  5. The letter will open, click the button to Manage the Addressee List of which providers you would like sent the letter to.
     

  6. Add and edit any letter information as needed.
