Mark a Chart Note as Advance Directives

You have the ability to designate various chart items as an Advance Directives. The Advance Directives column will show any applicable chart items that have been flagged as such. Use the following steps to mark a chart note as an Advance Directives.

1. Open a patient chart.
    

2. Click the Organizer button from the toolbar, or click the Note tab on the right side of the patient chart, and then click Organizer.
   
   
    

3. In the Organizer highlight the Chart Items you want to mark as an Advance Directive, then right-click a highlighted item, and then select Mark as Advance Directives. The applicable items will then have a Yes in the Advance Directives column.
   
   
   
    

4. To remove the Advance Directives tag from a Chart Item, utilize a similar procedure as in step 3 above: highlight the Chart Items you want to remove from the Advance Directives, then right-click a highlighted item, and then select the checked Mark as Advance Directives option . The Yes will then be removed for the applicable items in the Advance Directives column.
