Mark a Chart Note as Formal Health Record

You have the ability to designate various chart items for a Formal Health Record. The Formal Health Record column will show any applicable chart items that have been flagged as such. Use the following steps to mark a chart note as part of the Formal Health Record.

1. Open a patient chart.
    

2. Click the Organizer button from the toolbar, or click the Note tab on the right side of the patient chart, and then click Organizer.
   
   
    

3. In the Organizer highlight the Chart Items you want to mark as Formal Health Record, then right-click a highlighted item, and then select Mark as Formal Health Record. The applicable items will then have a Yes in the Formal Health Record column.
   
   
   
    

4. To remove the Formal Health Record tag from a Chart Item, utilize a similar procedure as in step 3 above: highlight the Chart Items you want to remove from the Formal Health Record, then right-click a highlighted item, and then select the checked Mark as Formal Health Record option . The Yes will then be removed for the applicable items in the Formal Health Record column.
