Export Macros

If multiple people in a practice use the same text, it is possible to share macros instead of each user creating their own.  A macro created by User A can be accessed by User B simply by exporting and importing. Use the following steps to export a macro.

  1. Open the ChartMaker® Clinical Voice Application and wait for the Speaker to load in the bottom right of the window.

  2. Click Voice > Tools > Command Browser.

  3. In the Command Browser dialog, click the Manage button.

  4. In the Current group drop-down filed, select User-defined.

  5. Click the + sign next to the Global Commands option. This will expand the list and show a list of commands created by the user.

  6. Check the box next to the command you would like to export, and then click the Export button.

  7. Browse to the location you want to save the macro (i.e., a USB device or a shared directory), and then enter a Name in the File name field, and then click the Save button.

NOTE: Be sure to leave the Save as type field set to MyCommands files (*.dat).
