The Immunization module allows you to maintain structured records for a patient's immunization information, enter immunization information in either the Clinical application (via chart notes) or in Practice Manager (via the Clinical > Immunization tab) while also allowing you to send and receive applicable immunization information with immunization registries.
The Administration > Registries
> Immunizations menu offers you a convenient and easy way to
configure vaccine registry information for registries in 2.5.1 or later
formats. You may register patients for bidirectional registries, view
a registry's record for a patient (bidirectional only), view the submission
status for immunizations sent to bidirectional registries, and run an
Invalid Data report to view any bad data contained in an immunization
record.
When your system is configured for bidirectional communication with an
immunization registry (DelVAX and PASIIS), immunization records will be
automatically sent to the applicable registry when the immunization record
is saved (via the Next Account button) in the Immunization sub-tab of
Clinical tab in Practice Manager, or when a chart note is saved or closed
in the Clinical application. When bidirectional communication is not available
(MD Immunet, NJIIS, NYSIIS, Philadelphia KIDS, and VIIS), you must manually
send the applicable immunization information.
The topics listed below in the General section are generalized instructions for configuring and viewing registry information. See the specific registry instructions in the Immunization Registry Help section for information on configuring and viewing registry information as it pertains the those specific registries.
