With the establishment of ARRA Meaningful Use reporting and requirements applicable LOINC, CPT-4, ICD-9, and/or Unit of Measure codes need to be attached to the corresponding conditions for lab results, procedures, diagnoses, vitals, as well as other areas as applicable. In previous versions of the Clinical application these codes were not required when configuring conditions. To facilitate the mapping of the applicable codes to the corresponding conditions in an efficient and effective manner to meet ARRA standards, the Code Mapping dialog allows you to easily link a condition to the respective LOINC, CPT-4, ICD-9, and Unit of Measure code.
