Create a New User Voice File

When creating a new user voice file in ChartMaker® Clinical Voice Application please be aware that this process takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes of uninterrupted time. Use the following step to create a new user voice file.

 

 

  1. Minimize ChartMaker® Clinical.
     

  2. Double-click the ChartMaker® Clinical Voice Application icon on your desktop.
     

  3. In the ChartMaker® Clinical Voice Application window, click Voice > Users > Manage Users.
     

  4. Click the New button.
     

  5. In the New User Wizard, enter your Name, select the Language, Dictation source, and Vocabulary, and then click the Next button. The user file will now be created.
     

  6. In the Choose your sound system screen, select the Sound System for speech recognition, or click the Default button to let the system assign the sound system. Click the Next button.
     

  7. Position your microphone as prompted, and then click the Next button.
     

  8. Adjust your microphone volume by the clicking the Start Volume Check button and then read as prompted. When finished, click the Next button.
     

  9. Adjust your microphone quality by the clicking the Start Quality Check button and then read as prompted. When finished, click the Next button.
     

  10. Train the ChartMaker® Clinical Voice Application by following the program prompts. This will teach you about the program while also setting up your voice file.
     

  11. When finished training, click the OK button and then computer will then adapt your voice file.
     

  12. Adapt ChartMaker Clinical Voice Application to your writing style by checking the Email and Documents options, and then clicking the Start button.  When finished, click the Next button.
     

  13. After the various prompts have been completed, click the Finish button.
