Add a New Case for a Patient

Use the following steps to add a new case for a patient.

 

  1. From the patient's open chart, click the ID tab.
     

  2. In the Case section, select the applicable Practice you want to add the new case to, if applicable.
     

  3. Click the button next to the Case field.


     

  4. In the Select a case type to add dialog, select the Case Type you want to add, and then click the OK button.


     

  5. Enter the Open Date and Close Date for the new case, as needed.
     

  6. You can now enter the applicable Principal Care Provider, Insurance, Referring Physician, and Guarantor information for this case.
