Direct Messaging

Direct Messaging offers you the ability to send and receive secure messages, at the provider-level or the practice-level (group-level), containing transition of care and referral summaries, as well as other materials, to other providers or practices within the SureScripts network. When sending a message, attached files (i.e., CCD/CCDA) can be previously existing files or can be generated at the time of the message. Likewise, CCD/CCDA files attached to a received message can be easily imported into the patient's chart.

When a practice-level direct messaging address is created, you can determine which users will be able to send those messages via the Manage Direct Addresses dialog, in a similar manner as provider-level addresses. Likewise, you can determine who will receive the messages sent to the practice-level address via the Direct Messaging distribution list in the Distribution List Maintenance dialog.
